Enroll · Summer 2027
Students apply. Parents help. Here's how it goes.
Six steps from "I want to go" to walking out of customs into a trip leader's high five.
How to apply: six steps
Everything on this page is for applying. Once a student is accepted, we email you a link to registration, where the rest of the paperwork lives.
Pick a program
Five programs, one week each (nine days for Costa Rica), June to August 2027: Honduras, Girls Week, Bahamas, Mexico and the Costa Rica road trip. Each page says who the week is for, what it costs and what's included. Groups are ten to twelve students, so the weeks fill.
The student fills in the application
Not the parents. We want the kid to want it. The form asks about them, their fishing and how they hope to grow. It takes about twenty minutes.
Hear back, then register
Our team gets back to you as soon as we can. Registration opens each August for the following summer. Registration is where the paperwork lives: the waiver, flight details and a Global Rescue membership, which every student buys at this step.
Need help with the cost?
Aid runs from $500 to a full ride, decided on need and drive. Applications open in September and close the last day of February, with decisions by early March. A local student in one of our destinations applies for the Pollito scholarship instead.
Get ready
Check the passport is valid for six months past the trip. Book flights to match the arrival window on your program page. Work through the packing list, tick it off on your phone and print it. And practice the cast: a confident cast buys a lot of extra shots at a fish.
Travel day
Trip leaders are at the destination airport the moment students clear customs. If flying alone is a worry, we can arrange a leader or another student to fly with yours from the States. You get a message when everyone is at the lodge, and photos on Instagram every day after that.
